In addition to having children enjoy our AMISH Wood Toys and other Cool Toys for Kids, we also realized that with our customer base we have the choice to create awareness with families and children by introducing new 'trains of thought' that may be valuable throughout life.
With these particular items which we will end up including in our "Simply Beautiful" line, our goal is to create awareness to pay attention to what we put in and on our bodies. Its easy to just use whatever is in front of us, but we'd like to offer an alternative so you have a choice and a way to teach your children if you choose.
If nothing else, anything we add to this page will be fun, great to use and hopefully YOU and your kids can enjoy them! Sometimes stuff for kids, is for the "kid" in all of us, no matter your age!

As parents and grandparents, we have the choice to teach our children its important to look, read and think about ingredients in foods, items we purchase and in general a way to teach our children they have a choice in life. It seems many children grow up not thinking about what they use, purchase or eat may influence their health, mindset and later in life...their habits. But, please, don't take our word as gospel - do your own research and if you don't agree - thats okay - these items included are fun to use anyway. And by all means, don't think our cupboard doesn't have items with ingredients you can't read. It does. But, we do try to read labels to understand what we are actually eating. Here are some fun ways to teach kids!
Fun ways to teach kids:
When grocery shopping, look at a bag of chips with your child and see if they understand and know the ingredients.
Check out the back of a face wash product and try to pronounce all the ingredients.
While in the grocery store, pick out a few products (you can not do it with all of them or you'd be there for hours!) and challenge your child to find one of them that they can read all the ingredients.
Pick something out of your cupboard and try to understand what you're eating. You'll laugh as kids try to pronounce some of the names.
When buying toys or gifts, teach your child to understand how large the world is by seeing where it was made. Talk a bit about the country it comes from - if you aren't sure of characteristics of the country - search on the Web for a fun way to expand your knowledge. Its a great way to learn about the world.
